Taco seasoning
It's simple enough to buy taco seasoning at the grocery or even specialty stores, but I like to make my own in order to control the amount of salt and sugar in the mixture. Yes, sugar is sometimes added to spice mixtures especially if it is a 'salt-free' blend. I double or triple this recipe and store it for a quick weeknight meal. See Weeknight ground beef tacos for the complete recipe.
