Chili dogs

If you prepare the chili con carne the night before, this meal can be ready in less than 15 minutes.

Special equipment needed
2 medium pans
Ingredients
1 recipe Chili con carne
4 - 8 hot dogs
4 - 8 hot dog buns
shredded cheese for garnish
chopped onion for garnish
Instructions
• Put the hot dogs in a pan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer. Cook 6 - 8 minutes.
• Cook or reheat the chili con carne.
• Toast the buns slightly if you want.
• Put one or two hot dogs on each bun. Top with the chili con carne. Garnish as desired.
Variations
• Top these with guacamole or jalapeños.
Storage
• Cover and store in the refrigerator for 3 - 5 days.
