Asian marinade

In the summer, we grill several times a week. I get tired of the same marinades, so I like to try new ones when I can. Making a marinade is simple. Throw some ingredients together and taste it. If it tastes good on its own, odds are it will taste good when grilled. The only caveat is that if the marinade has acidic ingredients like lemon juice, vinegar, or wine or enzymes like papaya or pineapple don't marinate the meat more than 2 hours or the meat can start to break down. I like this marinade with chicken. See Asian grilled chicken for the complete recipe.
